I usually draw Kennedy without his dreads, probably because I'm lazy, and also because I like him without them too. He has had really long hair since he was young, and I figured removing his dreads without cutting and redoing them again in a year or so is no biggie anymore. (Also that allows me to draw him how ever the hell I want to so yeah.)
